The Council was chartered in 1990 as a non-partisan, non-profit
corporation and maintains IRS 501(c)(3) status.

2006 Quality
of Life Report & Community Indicators
On December 12, 2006 the Council released the 2006 edition of the Quality of Life Report for Tallahassee-Leon County. This report
updates trends on indicators in seven major areas: Families, Public
Safety, Health, Education, Economy, Community and Environment.
The 2006 Quality of Life Report includes:

Updates with available data on 61 quality of life indicators.
Please
note that annual updates are not possible for some indicators,
for example those that rely on the U.S. Census or other surveys
that are not administered every year. Some indicators have “data
lags” – for example, 2004 may be the most recent year
of data available in 2006.
2. A list of internet and library resources with additional information
on Leon County and Florida.
The Council published its first Quality of Life Report in 1991
and released updates in 1993 and 1996. The first web-based version
of the report was released in 2003.

 Transportation
and Land Use Report
This November 1995 report culminated a year-long citizen study process.
Numerous report recommendations have been incorporated into local
transportation and land use planning.

Century Council Human Services Citizen Task Force Report
This study process and report were undertaken at the request of
the Tallahassee City Commission and Leon County Board of County
Commissioners to examine how human services delivery system could
be improved to strengthen accountability, efficiency, and effectiveness.
